Chain Size Guide
Every Persona necklace is created to keep a meaningful memory close. The chain length you choose determines where your pendant rests, how it layers with other pieces, and how it feels throughout the day.
(The positions shown are approximate. The final fit may vary depending on neck size, body shape, clothing, pendant size, and the weight of the piece.)
Choose Where Your Keepsake Rests
16 - 18" Chain
At 16 inches, the chain rests near the base of the neck. Extended to 18 inches, it typically sits along or just below the collarbone.
This range is a thoughtful choice for smaller pendants and for those who prefer to keep their keepsake close.
Best for:
- A shorter, more delicate fit
- Smaller fingerprint pendants
- Layering with longer chains
- Open, scoop, and crew necklines
20 - 22" Chain
At 20 inches, the pendant usually rests just below the collarbone. At 22 inches, it falls slightly lower on the upper chest.
This is the most versatile range for many Persona pendants, offering a comfortable balance between a close fit and a longer silhouette.
Best for:
- Everyday wear
- Most pendant shapes and sizes
- A relaxed but visible placement
- Wearing alone or layering
24 - 26" Chain
At 24 inches, the pendant generally rests around the upper to mid-chest. Extended to 26 inches, it creates a longer and more relaxed silhouette.
This range works beautifully with larger pendants, vertical designs, and pieces worn over clothing.
Best for:
- Larger or longer pendants
- Wearing over higher necklines
- A more prominent pendant placement
- Layering with shorter necklaces
How to Measure Your Ideal Chain Length
Measure a Necklace You Already Own
Unclasp the necklace and lay it flat on a straight surface. Measure it from one end to the other, including the clasp.
Compare that measurement with Persona’s adjustable chain ranges.
Measure with a Soft String
Place a soft string or measuring tape around your neck and adjust it until it reaches the position where you would like your pendant to rest.
Mark the point where the ends meet, then lay the string flat and measure its full length.
Remember the Pendant Drop
Chain length is measured from end to end and does not include the pendant. Your pendant will add additional length below the center of the chain.
